I want to express my sincere thanks for finding time to help my students. Beyond that, you have really done an excellent job with the revisions of the texts. You have made sociology relevant to all ethnic groups--especially African Americans. The photos and paintings are wonderful!

I've been using your textbook for several years now, and enjoy being able to use the on-line materials. At a small school such as mine, teaching assistants are nonexistent, so the on-line quizzes are excellent for making sure students are keeping up with the material.

I am teaching an introductory sociology class. Last year we used your Sociology. I have used many different sociology texts, and find this one to be the best, most current, and inclusive.

I have used your text, Sociology, since the first edition and have greatly appreciated the changes over the years. It is the most balanced, comprehensive and accurate text that I have found. Please do not consider my praise of your text as kind words--they are honest appraisals of a work that continually strives to be bias free and maintains a global emphasis.
Thanks for your consideration and best wishes...

I have used your sociology text (usually Society: the Basics ) for several years and want you to know how much the students, the other instructors, and I enjoy it. As chair of the social science department, I select the textbooks, and all sections use the same one. Keep up the fine work. We will be adopting the new edition for our winter quarter.

Hi! I am a lecturer at a private college here, in Malaysia. I have found your latest edition of Sociology most instructive, comprehensive and interesting. The book’s layout is also soothing to the eyes; the debates (in the theme boxes) and the critical-thinking questions are all very useful, indeed, for class discussions. Your effort to use language thoughtfully in the textbook is highly commendable. Congratulations!

Thank you very much! Here's wishing you and your family good health, strength, peace and happiness. Take care.

Thanks for your help and suggestions! I am astounded at your responsiveness! I used the first edition of Macionis and Gerber (Canadian) intro text and students LOVED it.

Thank you for helping me with the transparencies. However, the reason for this letter is to thank you for writing a wonderful textbook. I am enjoying using it for my first teaching experience...

I have been adopting this text for my introductory classes for many years, and my students have consistently found it to be both a rewarding and entertaining learning experience. And over the years, these teaching assignments have run the gamut—both day and evening classes, both traditional and adult learners, both community colleges and universities. I have been loyal to this text because I can find no better teaching tool and because students say they could not meet high academic standards and expectations without it.
